The Bucksum Team
David & Tracy
Partners in life as well as business, David is a second generation Farmer and set up Bucksum in 2006.
Tracy & David met at Thame Food Festival in 2011.
Tracy's Grandfather was a farmer and she returned to her roots joining David part time in 2012, becoming a full time partner in the business in 2015.
Noodle, 'Pest Control Officer', joined the Bucksum team in 2014 and loves coming to work, where she takes her job (ensuring that no mice are nesting near the polytunnels, eating the salad) very seriously.
Izzy has been our main Saturday shop assistant since 2016 she completes a range of tasks from washing the van to serving customers & inputting sales data.
After many years as a customer who grew up learning to use the till on her weekly trips to Bucksum, Beth started part time in 2018 helping at the Pumpkin hunt, she joined us as regular shop assistant in Spring 2019.
Orlagh joined the team in early 2019 as part time field hand & farm shop cover, she is a keen allotment grower at home and enjoys cooking fresh seasonal produce outside of work.
Anya has been involved in Bucksum Events since the earliest days including planting a Xmas tree with us back in the old farm shop and using the till on a weekly basis so when in 2019 she asked for a paid job, how could we refuse? “
Having participated in Bucksum events as a young child Charlotte joined us in Summer 2019 working both in the field and the shop, initially as an extra pair of hands for summer harvest and as cover for the shop when our regular team are on holiday.
Rachel joined us in Feb 2020 to help in the shop on a Wednesday during term times, this makes her popular with the school aged members because it means that they get the extra hours during school holidays.
Kes joined us as an Unexpected team member in March 2020 being able to isolate as a ‘family bubble’ means we can all work together.
Meg joined us mid Covid lockdown in May ‘20 she sent the best letter of application we’ve ever seen.
